Jackie Ginther
A Visionary in Safety Advocacy
Born and raised in the Edmonton, Alberta Area, and a member of the Enoch Cree Nation, Jackie's journey into safety began with a deep-rooted belief that safety should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their role or background.
Educational Journey: Jackie's educational pursuit in safety started in 2012 at the U of A, taking a detour in life but reigniting with an HSA certification in 2018. Undeterred by challenges, she pursued further education, completing certificates in human resources, leadership, and management. Her dedication culminated in achieving a Bachelor of Technology from NAIT in 2022, followed by a certificate in Ergonomics Program Management from Dalhousie University in 2023.
Professional Path: Jackie discovered her passion for working in safety in 2010. Although she found her passion, she didn't initially have the confidence to actively and passionately promote it until later. Over the years, she honed her skills in safety administration and, in 2018, became the safety coordinator for a sandblasting and painting company. Serving as the Corporate Safety Advisor at a large company in 2019, she developed and implemented safety programs across multiple Canadian jurisdictions. For the past 2.5 years, she has been the General Manager of a manufacturing company, further enriching her leadership and management skills.
Passionate Advocate for Safety Simplification: Inspired by her experiences and motivated by a desire to simplify overly complex safety programs, Jackie's mission is to redefine safety consulting. Her leadership at Askiy Mahihkan Safety reflects a commitment to making safety traditional, simple, and universally understood.
